Secure Storage Units in Brooklyn, NY – Vehicle, RV & Boat Storage

I may have to update this review with photos so you can appreciate all that I'm saying, but, long story short, I love this place. I've never needed or wanted to have a storage unit, but in the misadventure that New York can be, I urgently needed a unit, in an extremely stressful, chaotic time, and I can't imagine a more warm, fair, accommodating place. First of all, they have the best default access hours around. Second, the staff is the most eclectic, genuine group of people, and entering the office is like going to an "ol' curiosity shop" or gift shop from an old mountain town. I actually needed a larger unit, as the movers filled my original unit to the brim before everything was unloaded, so I'm in the process of transferring to a larger unit. I believe in receiving what you give, and I've gotten a great deal on both the original and this double unit. I trust and like the staff very much, and the giant koi in the little pond near the office door serve as an indication that this little oasis has been here for a long time. I'm very grateful it was recommended to me, and I heartily recommend it to you... if you're good people too.

We absolutely love Lockaway Self Storage. It is unlike any storage facility we’ve ever experienced in NYC - welcoming, beautifully maintained, and honestly kind of charming. The koi pond and plants create a peaceful atmosphere, which is the last thing you’d expect from a storage facility anywhere! The staff is incredible - warm, helpful, and genuinely caring - and it’s obvious they take pride in maintaining the property and grounds. Somehow, they make moving and storage feel like a pleasant experience, which is no small feat. Highly recommend!
